Notes Suitable for short people. Easy to assemble. Assembly instructions are in my review.

"I am about 6 feet 1 inch tall, weigh 250 pounds, my knees are 19 inches off the ground and my hips are 18 inches wide. I am 81 years old and have limited mobility. Please keep my size in mind when reading reviews. The chair is too small for my size.
But it is still very comfortable. Going from lift to standing is a problem for me because the headrest hits my shoulders and pushes me too far forward to stand. Not enough lift height.
Unboxing. Be very careful when cutting open the box. It's best to just tear open the box. The steel bottom of the chair fits snugly against the bottom of the box, which means it fits snugly against the tuck of the box with no excess.
Remove the backrest and set it aside.
Locate the zip ties for the parts bag that are tied to the crossbar at the bottom of the chair back. The cord attached to the lift motor will be tied to the crossbar. Do not move it for now.
Remove the four furniture s levellers.
Place the chair on its side and screw on the s. It's very simple to screw on by hand, no tools required.
When finished, completely remove the remaining boxes and plastic wrapping.
Remove the packaging from the chair back assembly. The chair base and backrest should be unpacked.
Lift the backrest from both sides. The backrest is not heavy. Slide the two steel tabs onto the mating tabs on the bottom of the chair. At first, the backrest does not have to be perfectly aligned. The tabs have enough initial slack that you can start on one side and then the other. Press down until you hear a click.
Now remove the motor cable from the crossmember and run it across the top of the crossmember. This is important because it prevents the wires from burrowing under the chair.
Open the wire pack. Set the twobutton controller aside. You will see two wires and a black box which is the battery backup. If you have two 9volt batteries, open the battery compartment cover on the side of the black box. Connect the motor wires to the end of the black box. They are connected differently so they will not be assembled incorrectly.
Now remove the twobutton control and open the right side pocket. The round connector will be located at the bottom. You will need a torch (torch). Check the position of the pins on the cord and socket (located at the bottom of the pocket). Push the wire clip sleeve (black plastic piece) to one side. Carefully align the pins and gently push to seat them. Then snap the strain relief over the two tabs on the connector. This prevents the dual button control wires from being pulled loose.
At this point, assembly is complete. Place the chair in the use position. Check that the power cord is assembled correctly, then plug it into an electrical outlet with a U.S. style 110volt plug.
Be sure to unplug the power cord when installing the two 9volt batteries.
They will illuminate two green lights. One on the backup battery compartment and the other on the switch between the backup batteries and the motor. Both lights should illuminate. If not, press the button on the switch to turn it on.
Your seat is now ready for use.
The backup battery can be secured to the crossbar with two screws or zip ties. Simply wrap the power cord loosely around the crossbar. Leave enough length for the chair motor to run.
Dual button controls are very useful for older people because sometimes we have so many buttons that we forget which one does what. The same is true for children.
The chair lift is very quiet and runs very smoothly.
I highly recommend this chair. Keep in mind that it works for smaller groups of people, both adults and children.

Arrived in perfect condition and everything is in perfect working order!

"Although the chair was delivered in two worn out packages (probably the original packaging from China), it arrived on time and all parts of the chair were intact. All the parts were intact, nothing was missing and it only took 20 minutes to assemble following the illustrated instructions that came with it. My 86 year old husband, who had a stroke, was able to use the new chair and operate the side tray buttons immediately. His previous recliner took 6 minutes to get out of the chair which made him very nervous. Now, with the new chair's pushbutton lift feature, he can get up easier and faster.
I purchased this chair for several reasons that may be of interest to others:
1) The chair cover is made of faux leather. If fabric was used to make this recliner, it would get dirty very quickly in our home.
2) The colour of the chair is a beautiful dark brown. If we bought a white, grey or tan chair, I would have to wash it often to keep its colour.
3) There is no pillowy headrest because the headrest spans the entire top of the chair back. One's head doesn't have to search for some "just right" spot on the pillow.
4) The seat is 19 inches off the floor, unlike his previous recliner which was very low to the ground; in addition, the seat is wide enough to feel "roomy" when sitting down.
5) This recliner comes with two cup holders. This is a plus for my husband as there have been no accidental spills while using this chair.
6) The disk USB port on the side is easy to use, even for those who tend to get confused by gadgets. Using the side buttons for the lift function of the chair is definitely better than pushing down hard on the side lever to get the chair to tilt. We haven't used the remote to control the recliner's heating and vibration functions, but I'll update this review after using it.
7) The recliner comes with two side pockets. For us, this means no more "lost TV remotes" or lost newspaper TV guides.
8) Reasonably priced, below the price of comparable recliners, and free shipping is the icing on the cake.
9) The motor is very quiet when adjusting the recliner up and down. You have to listen closely to hear a slight gurgling sound, but it's not annoying and honestly not very noticeable.
I would encourage anyone who is looking for a recliner to purchase this chair as it has all the aspects I was looking for. We are very happy with this purchase.

I love this chair.

I have read and reread hundreds of reviews on many different websites about many lift recliners. I had to get it right the first time! I knew it wasn't something I could easily go back to, so I discussed all the features and styles and narrowed down my choices by which features were my musthaves and which ones were on my wish list. I also looked at chairs at a variety of prices, trying to determine if the more expensive models were expensive because they were actually better, or if they were just more expensive because they were from a more established company. If you're going through the same process right now, you'll know what I mean. There are many of these chairs, and their differences may seem minor, making it difficult to compare them and feel confident in your choice. There comes a time when you grit your teeth and hope for the best. I love this chair! I want you to know that I tried my best before making this choice. I narrowed my choices down to this chair and another chair that was three times more expensive. I chose this. Why? Because I don't understand why other people spend so much money. Not in reviews or specs. My thinking is that if this chair lasts 2 years and the other lasts 4, I can still buy 3 and get 6 years before I fall behind. I certainly don't want that to happen, but money is important. Back to the chairman. I need a wider seat, I need dark brown faux leather, and I need it to lift my legs high enough to reduce swelling. It ticks all those boxes. I want infinite positions, but it doesn't have it. As your legs lift, your back moves backward. Not great for watching TV, but fine if I put a pillow behind my head. It also has heating and a "massage" function (just vibrates intermittently, but nice) as well as 2 cup holders and side pockets which I love! It's hard to choose, I understand. But what I am trying to say is, despite all the conflicting reviews, know that this is absolutely true. I use this chair, not my mom or grandpa, and I've been using it every day for two weeks. I know this is not the longest period of time. If the chairman disappoints me in a short period of time, I will update. For now, this is great.

If you are taller than "average" height, you need this chair.

"Most power lift recliners listed on Walmart's website will hastily state in the description that they are for people up to 5 feet 10 inches tall. Very few are designed for people taller than 5 feet 10 inches.
I checked out all the chairs at Walmart retail shops and online.
The heating, massage, USB charger, cup holders and other features are far from the actual quality of the power lift mechanism. These features always failed on "regular recliners" and would not behave any differently on "power lift chairs".
So, after weeks of research, this "grey" fabric chair is hundreds of dollars cheaper than its counterparts in other colours.
Instead of heating and massage features, it has two motors. The first motor drives the recliner backrest (which folds into a sleeping position). The second motor drives the lifting mechanism and foot rest. Operation is controlled by a wired "wand" with illuminated buttons (4 in total) that control the recliner's functions. There is also a USB port on top of the wand which can be used to charge a mobile phone or other light electrical component. The construction of this remote is superior to many highend electronic remotes.
The motor is quiet and the mechanism is oversized and heavy duty. The chair moves very smoothly.
Next is the comfort level. The chair itself is large and spacious. The first thing we noticed out of the box was the size and thickness of the upholstery springs and how heavy the support structure is compared to other recliners. All components are heavy duty steel with plenty of polished stainless steel fasteners or key components. All components, even the footrest, are very heavy compared to other recliners.
Sitting in the chair, the seat is stiff enough for us to support it. The back of the chair has a lot of support, yet it rests securely on the back of the chair. The whole chair feels more comfortable when it "settles down" rather than sagging.
I have been using this chair for 3 days now and I am very happy with my purchase. Not only that, but I feel that I have found the best chair that will last me many years.
I will keep you updated if needed.

It's great for most people to sit in, well constructed and more comfortable than most chairs

It is very supportive and my wife loves it. She is recovering from a broken femur and needs help sitting, reclining and getting out of other recliners, but with this new power lift chair, she can always do these things on her own and relax without having to ask me for help. At 5'11" 230, I'm not small, and my wife is about the same size as me, just a little shorter; she has room for her hips and legs, and I tried to capture that in the photo. I think the recliner is roomy enough and comfortable. I went to a furniture shop and sat in a Yandel lift chair, which I thought was too tight and didn't have good lumbar support, so I'm betting this chair will be more comfortable. It's dualmotor, which means you can raise your legs without reclining if you want, and there's a separate button on the back of the chair that lets you recline. I was a little worried about the shipping time, but they actually delivered it two or three days ahead of time, which was a good thing, and that's why I wanted to buy it through Walmart, because I was worried that it would take months for my local shop to ship it, and don't ask why, but that's just the way it is around here. I wish it had been packaged a little better, the box was falling apart when it arrived and I took pictures in case it was damaged, but when I unpacked it it was in perfect condition; and most people can't move it in, so I'm trying to get my grandson or granddaughter to move it in. I'm pretty good at troubleshooting the manufacturing process, so don't get frustrated during assembly, take your time and you'll be fine. I have a congenital heart condition and it takes me longer to do the work, so I think it would be a challenge for a lot of older and sicker people. Of course! Saves a lot of money. Also, I wish companies or Walmart would work with seniors and provide us with paperwork so we could get reimbursed by Medicare, which would also help their sales.
