"I am very happy with this purchase, it was only about $400 when I bought it and overall I love it. I will say that the navy blue colour is a little lighter in person than in the pictures. If you take a look at the pictures I posted, the navy blue colour shows up very accurately. Instead of navy blue, it's more of a "Dallas denim blue". You can also see the size comparison between me and the couch.

I've read some negative reviews, so I'll talk about them in my context. Keep in mind that when you order anything online, you are taking certain risks, which I will explain. However, just because these risks happened or didn't happen to me doesn't mean that they happened or didn't happen to someone else, or that they happened or didn't happen to you.

Returns:
I've seen some posts about how painful the return process is, mostly because of the boxes. You have to put the couch in a box that will fit in order to return it. Therefore, I opened the box appropriately to keep it intact in case I return it, and I will save the box if I end up having to return it for some reason, but so far I'm not going to return it because, as I've said before, I love the couch.

Shipping:
Initially said it would be delivered in 3 days. Instead it actually took 5 days. In my opinion, this is not a big deal and I don't see a problem with it. It's a very large sofa in two very large boxes, so it makes sense that it would take a little longer.

Assembly:
I read a lot of reviews that said assembly was a pain, that it took a long time, that people had to drill new holes because the holes didn't line up and would tear the fabric. And people said there were missing parts and screws? I didn't run into any of that at all! I have all the parts and screws I need. Every hole fit perfectly and it took me about 30 45 minutes to put together. My only gripe is that it uses allen spanners for the bolts, not hex bolts or even Phillips screws. (However, the assembly process was so easy that it was no trouble at all for me.

Size:
The couch is very long! That's exactly why I bought it. I'm a 6 foot tall, 210 pound male, and I can lay on the couch for a long time with my head resting on the armrests and my feet nowhere near the other arm of the couch. Width wise I think it's great, it may be a little narrow compared to bigger and more expensive sofas but it's still a great size in my opinion. Again, I'm 6ft tall and if I sit on the back cushion it extends all the way to where my knees bend. (Which is plenty for me.) I bought it more because of how long it is. It does sit a little lower to the ground than a big expensive couch. But not too low in my opinion. When I stand next to it, it's up to my knees.

Comfort.
In the end, I found this couch to be very comfortable overall. The base cushions are firm, but also sofa, and the back pillows and armrests are not as firm, but also sofa. The base cushions have Velcro pads to hold them in place and the armrest pillows have zip fastenings. However, the backrest pillows don't have any fixings and could potentially move, but iv sat on the sofa for a couple of days and didn't notice any movement in the pillows as they fit perfectly and are fixed into place with each other.

"Awesome. I mean it. I've been wanting a small couch for my Airbnb villa for a long time and didn't think I'd order it online! But I drove all over the place (I live in Maggie Valley, NC, so pretty much everything is elsewhere), sat on the couch, and just couldn't find one that was the right size. It was a leap of faith to buy a couch for Black Bear Cottage from Walmart, but I made my decision based on the rave reviews here. I'm happy to add my own review here!

First of all, super fast delivery. The couch arrived a week early.

Each item was carefully wrapped in a plastic bag. PLEASE NOTE: I am a 65 year old woman who fully adheres to a sedentary lifestyle. If I can do it alone, so can you.

All parts for assembly are contained in a well made fabric lined zippered compartment on the bottom of the part. (Special note: the ottoman legs are in the ottoman!) Assembly is very simple.

Assembly is very simple. I hate 'assembly required' things, you know? Hate it. But if all the assembly was this simple and straightforward, I wouldn't hesitate to assemble it again. I put this couch together myself. Guys, I can't even check my own oil. I don't know how to use a drill. I'm not even mechanically inclined. This thing is a breeze. Bolted, washered, and wing nutted into pre drilled holes. The instructions were brief, with photos. It took me about 20 minutes. The only tool I needed was a box cutter.

But the quality was the biggest surprise. The quality is very good. I was expecting this to be from a major American brand name manufacturer. Good fabric, great design, and the little details that make it perfect. The wooden legs are solid and strong, with just the right amount of curvature for a very elegant look. The cushions are slightly deeper than needed. The fabric is a little thicker and more durable than expected. And it's attractive. Corded edges. The cushion cover has a zipper. Packed very well with nothing that needed to be compressed to recover. The lining underneath is what you'd expect from a fine piece of furniture, and there's also lining on the inside of the armrests, where the fabric usually rubs and frays. Even the little throw pillows are a lovely addition, and if you want to play mix and match, it makes your room instantly tidy.

Finally: the seats are sturdy and the back cushions are sofa, so there's a mix of comfort and durability very important for a vacation rental. I'm sure this little sofa will stand up to years of use and remain attractive.

The navy blue color is a dark blue gray. The only ""hiccup"" in the assembly process was realizing that the fabric above the two drilled holes in one of the armrests had not been cut off, but the threaded metal was right there, so it was very easy to cut off the fabric above it, and once assembled it was hidden forever.

All in all, this is a great addition to my mountain cabin and I would not hesitate to recommend it."

I wanted a couch in the TV playroom so the kids and I could lounge, watch movies, play games, etc. and sleep there if we wanted to. I ordered the L shaped couch and got an extra ottoman so I could put three legs across it. It is smaller than I thought it would be. It's perfect for kids, but I'm 6'2" so my feet are uncomfortable at the calves. They are comfortable and the material is smooth enough that nothing gets stuck in the fabric causing pulling. Definitely not my favourite nestled in the couch feeling, but very comfortable and not too hot on a hot day. It took me about an hour and a half to assemble. The instructions from Ikea were simple. I only read one of the pieces. I liked the sofa so much that I ordered another set and added an extra ottoman so that I had a 3x3 sofa facing the TV and a 3x1 sofa facing the game table, which I placed back to back. The second sofa was assembled in 30 minutes without even having to read the instructions. It's sleek and modern and the kids can separate them and put them on their own or even move them to another room when they have friends over. They are very lightweight. As for durability, with the design of the stand omitting the backrest and sides, I can see the risk of using them when the kids are grumpy, but they have stood up to kids lying on the backrest and lots of horseplay. I think they have stood the test. I wish they had added more brackets to hold the benches together. Each sofa has two brackets for attaching the benches to the main sofa. There are two holes on each of the four sides of the benches, so it would have been nice to have all of them for attaching the benches. In any case, with the 3x3 and one bracket between each ottoman, it's still pretty solid and doesn't make a violent "flopping" sound from the inevitable running and jumping. The legs of the table are black plastic and may leave marks if pressed hard when moving across the floor. My floor is porous grey tile. It doesn't leave marks when pushed from the side. This is a bit sketchy as there are no instructions on how to tighten the legs hard ....... I don't want them to break. But I figured out to tighten them as hard as I could with one hand, then two more turns with two hands, and finally straighten them out. I am very happy with this couch.

In a nutshell:
Moderately comfortable for the price and reclining couch
Durability is okay, adding an extra leg in the back yourself would be a big improvement

Probably one of the best value for money sleeper sofas on the market

A lot of reviews talk about how uncomfortable it is, but I don't know what they were expecting. This couch is really comfortable. While you may not want to use it as the main couch in your home's living room, it's perfect for an unused room, den, basement, dorm room, etc. I was worried that it would be as hard to fold as those awful college folding couches at the big box stores. But that's not the case. It's a comfortable couch.

As far as sturdiness goes, it leaves a little to be desired. The legs of the couch appear to be ABS plastic, but this is a durable plastic. There are fake wood grains, so at least a couch made of plastic won't be affected by a small flood in the basement. Two of my couch legs would not fully tighten until I added an extra washer myself to tighten them. There are reviews that say their wood frames are cracked. This is because the center backrest of the sofa is not supported by one of the legs. The sofa legs are next to the loveseat but not the backrest. The design is terrible, but I fixed it myself with wooden blocks to help distribute the weight. Other people have shown no problems with the fabric. It is intact.

It doesn't unfold like a regular sleeper sofa, and unless you're a child, you'll need to lay head to head on it. I'm 5'10" and still have plenty of room. It's not as cozy as a bed, but it's comfortable enough that I might use it in the summer when it's too hot in the upstairs bedroom.

I'm worried about our cat scratching it. It is sofa to the touch, but not plush, and they like plush. I'll update if there are problems. Same with the fur, it looks like it might stick, but that's always a problem if you don't get a leather couch. I'll update if it does.

"First of all I would like to say that I love this couch. It is very easy to assemble. The hardness of the couch does not take away from the comfort. It feels sturdy and the fabric blew me away. It's the perfect couch for small spaces. I rated it 4 stars because there are a couple things I wish were different.

As some have mentioned, the backrest of the couch moves slightly when not against a wall. This wasn't an issue for me, but keep this in mind if you plan on placing the couch somewhere other than against a wall. It's not really a big deal, but it could be an issue for some people. I wish the pillows and cushions for the backrest were a little longer, but again, this couch is perfect for small spaces, so it makes sense for the backrest pillows to be shorter. I do wish there were pillows in the armrest section, but I'll be ordering them myself, so that's not a big deal. I think the sleeper sofa is an important part of this sofa. The seat of the couch isn't very deep so I sat more comfortably with the upholstery. You can secure them to the sofa so they don't move around, which I think is a great feature.

I like that I can order another center seat when I find out that another seat will fit as well. It should be here next week. The entire couch was shipped the next day. The next day (today) I had the entire couch set up and the armrests arrived. Overall, I am very happy with this purchase. I have no real complaints. If I find myself changing my opinion of this couch, I will update this review to let you know how it really works. If it doesn't update, I'm still happy.I've also added a picture of my family sitting on the couch so you can get an idea of the dimensions. My husband is 5'9"" and 215 lbs.
